Rostec creates Automatic Control System for SSJ-New airliner engine
Russia’s United Engine Corporation (UEC), a subsidiary of Rostec, has created an automatic control system (ACS) for the new PD-8 aircraft engine, which will power the SSJ-NEW passenger airliner.
The equipment that controls the operation of the power plant, including thrust parameters and fuel consumption, is assembled on the basis of 100% Russian components and materials.
The specialists of the Perm enterprise “UEC-STAR” completed the development of the PD-8 self-propelled guns in record time – only a year and a half passed from the moment the technical assignment was signed to the assembly of the first sample.
Mass production of the ACS is scheduled for 2023 after qualification work and obtaining permits.
