Plane with Stinger air defense missile systems arrives in Ukraine from Lithuania

The aircraft with a batch of Stinger air defense missile systems and defense ammunition landed at Boryspil Airport

A shipment of military-technical assistance from the Republic of Lithuania was delivered to Ukraine on February 13 as the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine reported.

The plane with a batch of Stinger surface-to-air missile systems and defense ammunition landed at Boryspil Airport. Besides, military supplies and equipment for the needs of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, in particular, body armor were on board.

The cargo was met by Deputy Defense Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Havrylov and Lithuanian Ambassador to Ukraine Valdemaras Sarapinas.

In December 2021, Lithuania transferred to Ukraine the first part of the military aid – a batch of body armor and ballistic belts.

On February 11, another 90 tons of ammunition arrived in Ukraine as part of US military-technical assistance.

Besides, on February 8 and 9, the British authorities sent non-lethal military-technical assistance worth £5.2 million to Ukraine.
