NATO expels Russian members after accusing them of espionage
Eight members of Russia’s mission to NATO have been expelled after the alliance suspected they were working as spies, an official has confirmed.
A NATO official said: “We can confirm that we have withdrawn the accreditation of eight members of the Russian Mission to NATO, who were undeclared Russian intelligence officers.”
NATO also reduced the number of positions that Russia can accredit people for at the organisation down to 10, the official said.
