Egypt orders South Korean K9 Howitzers

Egypt has placed an order worth $1.65 billion for K9 Thunder self-propelled howitzers built by South Korean company Hanwha Defense.

According to the Defense Acquisition Program Administration (DAPA), this deal includes the production of K9s in Egypt and a technology transfer. The agency did not reveal how many howitzers will be delivered to Cairo

Australia bought 30 K9 howitzers and 15 K-10 armored ammunition resupply vehicles for $720 million in December 2021.
