Turkish, Azerbaijani FMs discuss “3+3” South Caucasus Platform

Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Ceyhun Bayramov and his Turkish counterpart Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu today, by telephone, discussed the current situation in the South Caucasus, including the implementation of the November 9, 2020 trilateral statement on Nagorno Karabakh.

The sides, according to a statement released by the Azerbaijan Foreign Ministry, exchanged views on the “3 + 3” cooperation platform in the South Caucasus, as well as on the holding of an extraordinary meeting of the Foreign Ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation to be held in Pakistan.

The “3+3” platform for regional cooperation in the South Caucasus, a Turkish initiative, would include Russia, Azerbaijan, Turkey, Iran, Armenia and Georgia.
