Russian Helicopters demonstrated the BAS-200 drone at NAIS 2022
Russian Helicopters demonstrated modern multi-purpose helicopter-type UAV BAS-200 at the NAIS 2022 in Russia.
One of the directions of its use can be the search for natural resources, including in the Arctic regions. The drone is able to search for oil and gas fields using the methods of airborne gravimetric and aeromagnetic surveys, state-owned Rostec said in a release.
As part of the NAIS 2022 exhibition, Alexei Mamotko, Head of Marketing and Sales of the Directorate of the Unmanned Helicopters Program Directorate of the NCV Mil and Kamov of the Russian Helicopters Holding, said that the target load in the provision of services for the fuel and energy complex is a modern airborne gravimeter weighing 31 kg.
According to him, experimental and methodological work has already been carried out jointly with the specialists of the State Research and Production Enterprise “Aerogeofizika” to integrate the latest geophysical exploration complex with unmanned vehicle systems.
Among the advantages of the BAS-200, Alexey Mamotko named the increased power-to-weight ratio. “Electric engines have a flight time of just over 30 minutes, sometimes up to an hour, while the BAS-200 has four hours. The multicopter lifts up to 10 kg, we lift 50 kg and thus can serve as a carrier for more productive mounted systems,” government-owned TASS quoted him as saying.
